       Elite and Varsity Divisions
                  Overview

Blue Chip Showcases are focused on the development of highly skilled, college bound lacrosse players and is divided into two divisions: Varsity and Elite.  By focusing on just two skill levels our coaches are able to achieve greater development for all who attend.  For this reason we request that all players who want to register for Blue Chip submit an endorsement from their high school or club coach.

In this way we are able to place all athletes in the group that most closely fits their skill level.  While BLUE CHIP PROGRAMS ARE OPEN TO ALL WHO WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND, the program will have the greatest value for athletes who fit one of the two profiles described below.

There are two divisions to each Blue Chip Camp: Rising Sophomores, Rising Juniors and Rising Seniors. Both divisions are for college bound lacrosse players.

Our Varsity Division is for the lacrosse players who aspire to play college lacrosse.  The Varsity Blue Chip athlete is among the best players for his  school team, plays for a strong club team, and includes college lacrosse in his future whether it is Division I, II, or III.  He is a serious lacrosse player and brings determination, self-discipline, and commitment to his sport.

A  recommendation from their high school or club coach is required for this division. Also required is a complete player profile as listed in the guidelines for coach recommendations at the right side of this page.

Our Elite Division is for the player who has demonstrated the ability to play in a Top 15 Division I program. He has most often been selected for all-star teams, all region and all state teams and in your opinion deserves preeminent consideration by coaches from the nation's top 15 D1 Colleges.   He is a standout in his school, club, region, state or national program.  He is fiercely dedicated to taking his skills to the maximum and has already been identified by his school or club coach as having the skill or ready potential to perform at a national competitive level.

A letter of recommendation from a high school or club coach is required for this division. Also required is a complete player profile as listed in the guidelines for coach recommendations at the right side of this page.

Each division has three goals:

To acquire or build the skills required at the college level

To provide experience in the college game with two assigned college coaches per team

To increase the chances of being recruited by coaches, either those coaching teams or present as observers

Each division is organized so that each player is challenged to the maximum as a means of building new skills and showcasing existing ones for the observing college coaches.

Whether your challenge is at the Varsity or the Elite Division of Blue Chip Camps, you will leave camp with better skills, college coaching experience, and increased exposure to college recruiters.

While we cannot guarantee that every recommended player will be offered a spot at the Elite Division, be assured that every player will be evaluated carefully.
