Coaches are planning
their schedules for
the summer camps,
and if you have not
already put your
profile online, now
is the time to get
yours in
place. Don't
postpone getting
your profile online
and sending it to
coaches for schools
you are interested
in. Make sure you
list all your summer
camps and
tournaments.
As you receive your
grades and
standardized test
scores be sure to
update your
profile.
1.
Your Password:When
you
registered, your
email password
was sent to
you. However,
sometimes email
is routed to
spam filters and
lost or gets
removed, or
deleted in
error. If you
have not
received your
password,
drop us an email
and we will get
you set up
quickly.
2. Getting
Online -
You can access
the system by
opening Blue
Chip (http://www.bluechiplax.com)
and clicking on
Recruiting
Service on the
left menu. At
the top left
side of the page
is text that
says "Accessing
Your Data."
Click on the
text and you
will be prompted
to enter your
user name and
password. It
might be a good
idea to add a
shortcut to your
desktop for
quicker access.
3 Entering
photographs: There
are two places
where you may
enter
photographs for
upload: the main
section and the
image gallery.
The key to
having good
photogaphs on
your profile is
having an
optimized image
of reasonable
size. Most
digitial cameras
produce images
that are far
larger in both
size and
resoltuion than
you need for the
web.
Here is a link
to a list of
free quality
photo editing
programs you can
use to ensure
your photos work
well and show
well on the
web. Some
people have had
difficulty
loading images.
In most cases
this is caused
by trying to
load an image
that is too
large. Please
resize your
images to 600
dpi or less
before
uploading.
Videos must be
in flv format.
There are many
free video
converters
online. Just
Google "convert
(whatever your
format is) to
FLV" and you
will find lots
of free
software.
4. Editing
Text:
To edit the
sections
requires a bit
of navigational
care. When you
are ready to
enter data,
click on the
"edit" button at
the right end of
the menu. Then
cursor to the
category and
click edit
there. Finally
scroll down to
your cateogry
and enter your
data. Click
"save" to lock
the data in.
This sounds more
complicated than
it is.
Try it a few
times and it
will seem easy.
Remember to save
your data from
each section.
Then move to the
next category
and repeat the
process. Please
note that each
section works
independently
for data entry
and editing.
Click "edit" on
the top right of
the section to
open the edit
and click submit
at the bottom of
the section when
you are done.
Repeat this with
each section.
6.
Sending
your profile:
You can send
your profile
from the
academic
section. You
will see "Share
your profile"
and "download
your profile"
there. To send
your profile
just enter the
email address in
the box and
click submit.
BUT.. don't send
it before it is
complete and
accurate.
7.
Make sure you
have paid.
Several players
have managed to
enter their data
without
completing
payment. We
will be removing
these players.
Please check to
ensure that your
profile is
securely in
place.
