 Happy
New
Year!.
It's the
first
day of
Blue
Chip's
New Year
of the
2011-2012
season.
We have
spent
the past
several
months
reviewing
our
programs
and the
results
of more
than 200
survey
responses
from our
2011
showcases
and
building
new ways
to make
Blue
Chip a
great
recruiting
experience.

We are
excited
about
the new
season
and
looking
forward
to
making
every
aspect
of each
camp
better
than
last
year.
Whether
it's the
registration
process,
the camp
store,
the
presence
of
college
coaches
at camp,
the Blue
Chip
Recruiting
Education
and
Support
or the
number
of chips
in the
cookies
in the
dining
hall,
Blue
Chip
2012
will
rock you
with
it's
changes!

Coaches'
Recommendations
Are Now
Being
Accepted!
Varsity
and
Elite
Divisions
As
the
demand
for Blue
Chip
Camps
has
increased,
we have
moved to
ensure
that
everyone
is
playing
at a
level
that
challenges
them. We
are now
accepting
recommendations
from
high
school
and club
coaches
for the
Elite
Division
(Top 15,
D1
College
Prospects),
and
Varsity
Division
(D1, D2,
and D3
College
Prospects).
This
means
that to
sign up
for Blue
Chip
Camps
you will
need
either
your
high
school
or your
club
coach to
send an
email to
tspencer@bluechiplax.com so that
you will
be
appropriately
placed
at the
Varsity
or at
the
Elite
Division.
In
general,
to
play
at
the
Varsity
Division
level
you
should
be
a member
of
your
school's
JV
(for
Rising
Sophomores) or
Varsity Team
(for
Rising
Juniors
and Rising
Seniors).
You
should be
dedicated
to
your
sport
and
serious
in
your
desire
to work
hard
and
improve
your
skills.
You
should
be
considering
pursuing
college
lacrosse.
For
Elite
Division
you
should be
a
standout
starter
on
your
high
school
and/or
club
team.
You
should
have
received
recognition
of
your
onfield
accomplishments
as
all-conference,
all-region,
all-state.
You
should
have
participated
in a
competitive
club
team
and
attended
significant
tournaments.
You
should
be
considering
a
Top
15
college
for
your
college
lacrosse
future.
The
recommendation
from
your
high
school
and/or
club
coach
should
support
this
background
and
their
opinion
of
your
qualifications
to
compete
at
this
level.

specific
criteria
and more
details

Recruiting
Education
and
Support
Online
Profile
System Included
in 2012
Enrollment
It
has
become
clear
that the
Blue
Chip
Recruiting
Education
and
Support
Program
is so
helpful
to
players
in their
contact
with
college
coaches
that we
want
every
Blue
Chip
athlete
to be
able to
take
advantage
of it as
part of
their
college
search.
For this
reason
we have
made
the online
profile
system
part of
enrollment in
2012 for
all Blue
Chip
athletes.
Just
click on
the link
on the
Blue
Chip
site,
create
your
user
name and
password,
and
enter
your
information.
Each
player
will
have
their
own
password
and be
able to
edit
their
information
during
the
year.
You
will
be able
to
send your
profile
to
any
coach
at
any
time
during
the
year.
You
are
able
to
add
photographs
to
their
profile,
and
links
to
You
Tube
videos
to
allow
people
to
see
streaming
video
of
your
play.
The
Blue
Chip
Recruiting
Information
and
Support
newsletter
will
now
be
sent
to
all
Blue
Chip
registrants
offering
information
about
the
recruiting
process
and
tools
to
assist
in
the
process.
We
are
excited
about
the
contribution
that
the
Blue
Chip
Recruit Education
and
Support
Program can
offer
it's
members by
connecting
them
to
colleges
and
college
coaches;
connecting
college
coaches
to
them
at
camp
and
tournaments,
and
informing
players
about
the

and

of

Coaches
at Blue
Chip
Two
College
Coaches
Per Team
You go
to camp
to
improve
your
chances
and
skills
for
college
lacrosse.
We are
committed
to
having
TWO
COLLEGE
COACHES
assigned
to each
drafted
team
during
the
length
of
camp.
They are
assisted
by other
coaches
and
joined
with yet
additional
coaches
who
attend
to
observe
during
camp.
During
the 2011
camps,
more
than 100
college
coaches
attended
one or
more
sessions,
and we
plan to
increase
that
number
in 2012!
Not only
will you
be seen
by more
college
coaches
than
ever,
but your
camp
experience
will
mirror
that of
a
college
training
program.
Check
out the
college
experience.
We plan
to
repeat
the
nationwide
live
video
of the
Varsity
and
Elite
All Star
games
with an
invitation
sent to
every
college
coach.

Comments!
Each year at
the
conclusion
of camp we
gather and
discuss all
the ways
that we can
make Blue
Chip be a
better
experience,
serve
players
better,
communicate
better,
reach more
college
coaches and
so on. As
part of this
process we
invited the
players and
families of
Blue Chip
2011 to
comment on
their
experience.
More than
200
responses
gave us some
sound ideas
and powerful
indications
of the
success of
camp:
Over 90% of
Rising
Seniors
reported
that they
had contacts
from college
coaches as a
result of
Blue Chip.
As of
September
1st Rising
Juniors are
able to be
contacted by
college
coaches. A
survey will
be going out
shortly. We
look forward
to learning
the results
of our
Rising
Junior
contacts
from the
2011
Recruiting
Showcase. |
