Opening Statement

Blue Chip Lacrosse LLC was founded in 1998 by President and Managing Director, Ted Spencer and has quickly established itself as one of the premier recruiting camps in the country. Now at its fourth year at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island Blue Chip 225 has brought great exposure to its campus with top players from around the country. Last year, approximately 1350 prospective college bound student-athlete’s representing 38 states around the USA and three provinces of Canada attended the Blue Chip Showcases to display their talents on the field to college coaches. Campers have traveled as far as England and Hawaii to attend. Last summer’s showcases featured three separate sessions for Rising Sophomores, Rising Juniors and Rising Seniors.

Ted Spencer was the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Fairfield University for thirteen years before retiring in July of 2008. During his coaching tenure at Fairfield, he boasted seven Championships, three MAAC Championships (1996, 1997, 1998), two ECAC Post-Season Tournament Championships (1998, 1999), and two GWLL Crowns (2002, 2005).  In 2002 and 2005 Spencer’s teams made appearances in the NCAA Tournament and finished with a Top 15 ranking in Division I Lacrosse. Three times Spencer was honored as “Coach of the Year” by his league, MAAC (1996), and GWLL (2002, 2005).

        Blue Chip Lacrosse Feedback
        Player and Parent Comments

"Just wanted to let you know it was awesome! It was more than I expected and definitely worth it. I learned a lot on and off the field from all the coaches and it was a blast playing with the players on my team as well as playing against the players on the other teams. I thought there was a real high level of competition there. My coaches were fantastic. They really played us fairly and gave all of us really good playing time. I really appreciated this as well as their coaching comments."

"Blue Chip 225 definitely gave me exposure to college coaches, some great advice and a chance to play a lot of lacrosse and improve my level of play at the same time. And to top it off; I had FUN!!!!"

"The coaching staff was great and was very organized. There were so many recruiters and it was the best staff ever to meet. The other players were the Best of the Best in lacrosse made the games very exciting to play each other"

"I got to meet some great coaches that gave me good insight on how to further my abilities on the field. I also met some players around the country that are now my friends. The all-star game was also a great way for me to get exposure. I couldn't ask for a better experience."
