Coach Spencer has had a coaching career of more than 20 years at all levels of lacrosse. Specifically, at the collegiate level for  17 years including stints at Yale and Brown Universities , Ted Spencer was the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Fairfield University for thirteen years before retiring in July of 2008.

During his coaching tenure at Fairfield he boasts seven Championships, three MAAC Championships (1996, 1997, 1998), two ECAC Post-Season Tournament Championships (1998, 1999), and two GWLL Crowns (2002, 2005).  In 2002 and 2005 Spencer’s teams made appearances in the NCAA Tournament and finished with a Top 15 ranking in Division I Lacrosse.

Three times Spencer was honored as “Coach of the Year” by his league, MAAC (1996), and GWLL (2002, 2005).

In 2001, a panel of Division I head coaches selected Spencer to coach the prestigious USILA North/South All-Star game which showcases the country’s top Division I seniors. Major League Lacrosse also honored him for being among a select few to have made significant contributions to the development of lacrosse in Connecticut.

Prior to his time at Fairfield, Spencer held assistant coaching positions at Brown and Yale. He played for UMass-Amherst, where he stood out as a long-pole defensive midfielder before graduating in 1985.

                 Assistant Director

Mike Pressler, the 2010 World Team Head Coach and winner of the Gold Medal in Manchester, England, and has quickly established himself as one of the premier college coaches in the country.

In just his third season in Smithfield, R.I., Pressler led the Bulldogs into the Division I ranks and into a degree of success that shocked the DI lacrosse world.

Pressler's efforts and contributions, not just with Bryant but throughout his illustrious coaching career, were recognized in September 2008 when he was named head coach of the 2010 U.S. Men's National Team.

A three-time ACC Coach of the Year and recipient of the 2005 USILA's F. Morris Touchstone Award as the National Coach of the Year, Pressler's overall head coaching record stands at 264-115 in 25 seasons. He ranks among the nation's top 10 active coaches in both career victories (No. 8) and overall winning percentage (No. 8). Pressler stands at No. 21 among the most winningest coaches of all time (by percentage) and is No. 12 all-time by win count.

A 1982 graduate of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va., Pressler was a four-year starter for both the football and lacrosse teams. A First Team Division Kodak All-American nose tackle in football, a four-year starter in lacrosse and team captain for both as a senior, Pressler was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 2001.

Pressler was also inducted into the Wilton (Conn.) High School Hall of Fame in 1998 and was inducted into the Connecticut Sports Hall of Fame in January 2010.
