Blue Chip Overview

Evaluation Sessions - When the players arrive at camp their first field sessions in the afternoon and evening are a series of drills and scrimmages for evaluation purposes. Approximately 50 college coaches on staff will be present at these evaluations. From these evaluations players are selected in a DRAFT by college coaches on the very first evening. This a lengthy process that takes most of the night.

Team Sessions: Teams are posted by the next morning in the Dorms and player’s report to their teams for Team practice followed by games. Each successive morning is devoted to team practice and developmental drills to assure each team is organized and cohesive as a team unit.

All Star Selection Process: All Star Games for both the Elite and Varsity Divisions will be played on Wednesday Evening in a LIVE TV Broadcast. All Star selection is based first on your team coaches nomination and then carefully scrutinized by our Field Generals. Our Field Generals are our top staff who have coached and participated in the Blue Chip Recruiting Showcases for over 10 years. Field Generals are top DI and DIII Coaches who have been both DI and DIII National Coaches of the Year. Nominations for players are collected at the conclusion of each session on each day ultimately culminating in what we believe are the best performers at camp over a 3 day period.

Championship Play: On Thursday morning we conclude our Field Sessions with Championship Round Play. Every team plays in the Championship Round on the final day of camp. Team records and scores are accumulated after each session by our Field Generals, and the Championship Rounds are determined, first by record then by goals against.

What to Expect

Blue Chip 225 is geared to cover all the bases. Each camper will not only take part in a variety of drills and games, but also be given an opportunity to demonstrate their skills on the playing field. This will allow top collegiate coaches the opportunity to see all you have to show.

You can expect to be coached during the week in both practice and game situations by college coaches, and to be observed by other college coaches who attend camp as visitors and evaluators. Blue Chip 225 is for the player who is at the top of their game, who strives to get better, and  who wishes to present their skills to college coaches. It is also for the player a year away from that level seeking to add on the extra step, a new move or to overcome a weak area in their game.

You can expect to be challenged by your teammates and coaches at every practice and game situation. We believe that you come to Blue Chip 225 to become a better lacrosse player, and we use every session to help you reach that goal.

You can expect to learn about the college recruiting process from the people who do it: what are the recruiting rules; who to talk to; what to expect on visits; how to communicate with coaches and a whole lot more.

You can expect to go home a better lacrosse player, knowing more about how to get and stay healthy , and better prepared for college recruitment.

Blue Chip 225 Lacrosse Camp can open doors to college contacts and the world of lacrosse beyond the high school level.
